Childcare exempt from localised restrictions
Some parts of the country currently have tighter restrictions to prevent households mixing. And that’s caused difficulties for people who rely on informal carers, who provide care for children and vulnerable adults.
As of last week, though, families who share caring responsibilities with another household, are allowed to continue. However, please note that this only applies if the care support is consistent; one-off arrangements, such as a play date, are not exempt.
