DESCRIPTION:Single Event\n\n\nThe making sense of autism training will give
  you a better understanding and awareness of autism and the way it affects
  young people in your agency\, organisation or setting.\n\nBasic autism aw
 areness training for everyone involved in an agency\, organisation (educat
 ion\, health and social care) or post16 setting who would benefit from an 
 understanding of autism. This includes teaching and support staff\, practi
 tioners\, clinicians\, managers\, office staff\, caterers\, caretakers\, t
 ransport staff\, governors\, employers and careers advisers.\n\n\n\nTraini
 ng Objectives\n\n\nThe training will support participants to:\n\nunderstan
 d the key areas of difference that need to be taken into account when work
 ing with young people on the autism spectrum.\n\nknow the importance of un
 derstanding the young person on the autism spectrum and their profile of s
 trengths and areas for development.\n\nidentify the key areas to help youn
 g people on the autism spectrum build positive relationships with staff\, 
 peers and people in their community.\n\ndevelop an awareness of the sensor
 y and communication differences that young people on the autism spectrum m
