 escription : 1 pm - 4.30 pm\n\nDelivered by: Tom Coulthard\, CEO of VOYC 
 Devon\n‘Awareness in Safeguarding’ is to increase awareness and confid
 ence building in respect of identification\, responding\, recording and re
 porting processes involved in child protection. This Devon Children &amp\;
  Families Partnership recognised training will also raise awareness of leg
 islation\, attitudes &amp\; values and blocks &amp\; challenges in safegua

  course!\nTarget group:  Those who work regularly\, or have a period of i
 ntense but regular contact with children and young people or with staff wh
 o may be in a position to identify concerns and who may be expected to con
 tribute to the assessment of the child’s developmental needs or the adul
 t’s parenting capacity.\nAt the end of this session you will have:-\n\n\
 n 	\na better understanding of the legislative frameworks and guidance in 
 safeguarding children and young people\;\n\n 	\na greater awareness of the
  types of abuse and neglect which children and young people may experience
  and its impact and how to recognise the signs and indicators\;\n\n 	\na c
 lear understanding of what to do if someone has concerns about a child in 
 Devon or a child makes a disclosure and the processes involved\;\n\n 	\nan
  improved knowledge about the roles and responsibilities of individuals\, 
 organisations and Devon Safeguarding Children Partnership\, including iden
 tifying\, reporting\, recording\, sharing information\;\n\n 	\nBeing able 
 to interact with other participants from other types of organisations\, he
