SUMMARY:Confidence in Attending Child Protection Conference
DESCRIPTION:This course is for practitioners working with children\, young 
 people and families who may have to attend a Child Protection Conference a
 s part of their role and want to feel more confident about contributing an
 d contributing to the child protection processes.\n\nTarget audience  - 
 range of multi-agency professionals who work with children and are likely 
 to need to attend a Child Protection Conference. You may have already atte
 nded a conference or you may be new to the process. It is open to all prof
 essionals who either wish to update their knowledge or to learn about the 
 process. Professionals may include (but not exclusive to this list):\n\n 	
 Health Services (GPs\, health visitors\, midwives\, school nurses)\n 	Scho
 ol &amp\; education staff\n 	Early Help practitioners\n 	Probation\n 	Chil
 dren's Services Staff (domestic abuse practitioners\, mental health practi
 tioners\, family practitioners)\n 	Children Centre staff and Early Years &
 amp\; Childcare practitioners\n 	CAMHs\, Community Mental Health Team\,\n 
 	Youth Workers\n\nIdeally\, delegates should complete the Group 3 Core Mul
 ti-Agency Safeguarding &amp\; Child Protection course - Course: Multi-Age
 ncy Safeguarding and Child Protection (Group 3 Core)\n\nAim of the Course\
 n\nTo learn about the structure and processes associated with a Child Prot
 ection Conference and the methods and responsibilities of those involved.\
 n\nLearning Outcomes\n\n 	Information about the current structure and styl
 e of a conference (strength based and restorative)\n 	Importance of includ
 ing the children's views\n 	What is expected of you - your role and your r
 esponsibilities\n 	The role of the child protection conference chair\n 	re
 ports to conferences - how to write them\, where to send them and what sho
 uld be included\n 	Timescales\n 	Decision making process\n 	outcomes of a 
 plan\, process and monitoring progress\n 	differences between child in nee
 d and child protection\n 	child protection process beyond conference\n\n&n
 bsp\;\n\nCancellation Terms\nCancellation Policy – unless there are ext
 enuating circumstances\, you will be charged if you don’t attend or if y
 ou cancel your place less than 4 weeks before the training date. Even if t
 he training is fully funded by the Devon Safeguarding Children Partnership
  (Devon SCP)\, we still maintain the right to charge as non-attendance pre
