DESCRIPTION:Cost : £80 for VOYC members\nVenue : Delivered Virtually via

 d (CEO of VOYC Devon).\nWho’s this for?\nThis Devon Safeguarding Childr
 en Partnership recognised Group 5 training is for the not for profit chil
 dren and young people’s workforce who have particular responsibilities i
 n relation to advising and supporting other staff (paid/unpaid) who may ha
 ve safeguarding concerns\, who have the responsibility to receive and refe
 r safeguarding information. This also includes self-employed ‘stand-alon
 e’ practitioners who do not work within an organisation (ie childminders
 \, private tutors\, etc).\nThe Course Programme includes:-\n\n\n 	\nWhat i
 s Abuse?\n\n 	\nValues and Attitudes – making judgements.\n\n 	\nInterac
 tive Risk Factors.\n\n 	\nDealing with Disclosures / Making Enquiries and 
 Referrals.\n\n 	\nSafe Recruitment\, Induction and Supervision.\n\n 	\nOrg
 anisational Processes and Procedures.\n\n 	\nAvoiding Accidents – Risk A
 ssessment and Safe Practice.\n\n 	\nRecording and Storing Information.\n\n
  	\nWorking with Others\, Information Sharing\, Levels of Need Framework a
 nd Early Help.\n\n\nAims of Training: \nTo provide an opportunity for par
 ticipants from various VCS agencies to gain and share knowledge\, and expl
 ore feelings in relation to child protection as well as gaining an underst
 anding of child protection procedures and other agencies responsibilities.
 \nObjectives: \nVoluntary and Community organisations play an important r
 ole in delivering services to children and young people.  They should hav
 e the arrangements as described in “Working Together 2023” in place in
  the same way as organisations in the public sector\, and need to work eff
 ectively with other Agencies and the Local Safeguarding Children’s Board
 .  As a part of this their Designated Safeguarding Officers need to be ad
 equately trained to support paid and volunteer staff and they need to be a
 ware of their responsibilities for safeguarding and promoting the welfare 
 of children\, how they should respond to child protection concerns and mak
 e a referral to local authority children’s Early Help or Multi Agency Sa
 feguarding Hub (MASH) if necessary.\n&nbsp\;\nClick here for the booking
