DESCRIPTION:Local Authority Designated Officer\nWe now offer live Teams tra
 ining every 3 months facilitated by a LADO. This is the preferred way for 
 you to develop your knowledge and understanding about the LADO service. Th
 is will give you an opportunity to meet some of the team and to ask any qu
 estions.\n\n\nIf you cannot attend the Teams training there is a PowerPoin
 t presentation you can access which will cover the same information.\n\nTh
 e LADO training is aimed at all staff and volunteers who are in regular co
 ntact with children and young people.\nLearning Outcomes:\n\nBy the end of
  the LADO training (live training event or the PowerPoint)\, you should:\n
 \n·         Understand the role of the Local Authority Designate
 d Officer (LADO)\n\n·         Understanding the Legal context an
 d framework\n\n·         Feel confident about your role and resp
 onsibilities where there are concerns about someone who works with childre
 n\n\n·         Feel confident about what should and needs to be 
 referred to the LADO (eg criteria for advice request or submitting a notif
 ication)​\n\n·         Understand the Managing Allegations &am
 p\; Safeguarding Concerns process​\n\n·         What constitut
 es a Low Level Concern and how to respond\n\n·         Know how
