Join Devon’s passionate Private Fostering Team in a lunchtime learning, with the following learning objectives:

•            Define private fostering and understand how it differs from fostering through a Local Authority or independent fostering agencies.

•            Recognise common scenarios that may constitute private fostering, including cultural and situational examples.

•            Understand the legal responsibilities of professionals and agencies in identifying and reporting private fostering arrangements.

•            Clarify the role of the Local Authority in assessing and supporting private fostering arrangements.

•            Identify key safeguarding considerations and how private fostering links to wider child protection duties.

•            Know where to access further guidance and support regarding private fostering in their local area.
