Plea se make sure you can attend both sessions.\nBefore attending this course\ , you should have a good understanding of neglect\, be able to recognise t he signs and indicators of neglect and understand the impact of neglect on children.\nWe offer a full day training course on neglect which we recomm end you attend beforehand if you have no previous knowledge of working wit h neglect - Recognising and Responding to Neglect.\n\n\nThe GCP2 training is split into two sessions:-\n\nSESSION 1 – 3 hours (with the first ho ur being pre-course study which you carry out before you join the virtual session)\n\nSESSION 2 – 1 hour to follow up and discuss how you are usi ng the assessment tool – this is where you can ask any questions or disc uss any difficulties you are having using the tool in practice.\n\nGraded Care Profile 2  is an assessment tool that supports practitioners to make a judgement about whether or not parental care is neglectful.  The tool helps practitioners to measure the quality of care given to a child and ca n make it easier for professionals to spot when sub-optimal parenting is p utting a child at risk of harm.\n\nPLEASE NOTE:  you have to attend both sessions in order to receive a certificate and get access to all the certi fied practitioner resources.\nThis course is funded to attend\, however\nC ancellation Terms\nCancellation Policy – unless there are extenuating c ircumstances\, you will be charged if you don’t attend or if you cancel your place less than 4 weeks before the training date. Even if the trainin g is fully funded by the Devon &\; Children Families Partnership (Devon SCP)\, we still maintain the right to charge as non-attendance prevents s omeone else from attending. We will invoice your organisation for £100 fo r a full-day course and £50 for a half-day course.\nThis course is fully- funded for Partners (including  Health (NHS)\, Education (EY)\, Children Services\, Probation). Other organisations may have to pay.
