Pleas e make sure you can attend both dates.\nBefore attending this course\, yo u should have a good understanding of neglect\, be able to recognise the s igns and indicators of neglect and understand the impact of neglect on chi ldren.\nWe offer a full day training course on neglect which we recommend you attend beforehand if you have no previous knowledge of working with ne glect - Recognising and Responding to Neglect.\n\n\nThe GCP2 training is split into two sessions:-\n\nSESSION 1 – 3 hours (with the first hour b eing pre-course study which you carry out before you join the virtual sess ion)\n\nSESSION 2 – 1 hour to follow up and discuss how you are using t he assessment tool – this is where you can ask any questions or discuss any difficulties you are having using the tool in practice.\n\nGraded Care Profile 2  is an assessment tool that supports practitioners to make a j udgement about whether or not parental care is neglectful.  The tool help s practitioners to measure the quality of care given to a child and can ma ke it easier for professionals to spot when sub-optimal parenting is putti ng a child at risk of harm.\n\nPLEASE NOTE:  you have to attend both sess ions in order to receive a certificate and get access to all the certified practitioner resources.\nThis course is funded to attend\, however\nCance llation Terms\nCancellation Policy – unless there are extenuating circu mstances\, you will be charged if you don’t attend or if you cancel your place less than 4 weeks before the training date. Even if the training is fully funded by the Devon &\; Children Families Partnership (Devon SCP )\, we still maintain the right to charge as non-attendance prevents someo ne else from attending. We will invoice your organisation for £100 for a full-day course and £50 for a half-day course.\nThis course is fully-fund ed for Partners (including  Health (NHS)\, Education (EY)\, Children Serv ices\, Probation).
