DESCRIPTION:This session is in person at County Hall Exeter - Room 310-13 T
 he Attic\nTools to Assess Neglect (Graded Care Profile 2 Training)\n\nThis
  short session assumes you already have a good understanding of neglect\, 
 are able to recognise the signs and indicators of neglect and understand t
 he impact of neglect on children.\n\nThis Graded Care Profile 2 (GCP2) s
 ession is designed to help practitioners assess and address neglect in chi
 ldren.\n\nGraded Care Profile 2 is an assessment tool that supports pract
 itioners to make a judgement about whether parental care is neglectful.  
 The tool helps practitioners to measure the quality of care given to a chi
 ld and can make it easier for professionals to spot when sub-optimal paren
 ting is putting a child at risk of harm.\n\nAim of the Session:\nTo streng
 then practitioners’ confidence and competence in recognising\, assessing
 \, and responding to neglect by using the GCP2 tool effectively\, supporti
 ng better decision‑making and more consistent multi‑agency practice.\n
 \nKEY LEARNING OUTCOMES\n\n 	Understanding Neglect: Deepen awareness of th
 e impact of neglect\, the risks of delay\, and the importance of recognisi
 ng cumulative harm.\n 	Using GCP2: Build confidence in applying the GCP2 t
 ool to assess the quality of care and spot areas needing improvement.\n 	S
 tronger Decision‑Making: Use a clear assessment framework to support con
 fident decisions at all levels.\n 	Better Multi‑Agency Working: Develop 
 a shared language and consistent approach to neglect across agencies.\n 	P
 ractical Skills: Apply GCP2 to real case examples through hands‑on activ
 ities to strengthen practical use of the tool.\n\nThis session is suitable
  for:\n\n 	Anyone working or volunteering with children\, young people\, p
 arents\, or carers\n 	Practitioners who may spot signs of neglect as part 
 of their role\n 	Staff involved in assessing or supporting families where 
 neglect may be a concern\n 	Multi‑agency partners\, including Early Help
 \, education\, health\, police\, voluntary sector\n 	Designated Safeguardi
 ng Leads and their deputies\n\nCancellations and Non‑Attendance – Term
 s &amp\; Conditions\n\nCancellations - If you need to cancel\, please let 
 us know at least 2 weeks before the course date. If we don’t receive you
 r cancellation in time\, or you don’t provide a replacement attendee\, y
 ou or your organisation will be charged.\n\nNon‑attendance - If you do n
 ot attend\, or you arrive late/leave early\, we may apply a charge to you 
 or your organisation.\n\n 	Charges\n\n\n 	£130 – full‑day course\n 	
 £65 – half‑day course\n\n Extenuating Circumstances - You will not b
 e charged if circumstances beyond your control prevent you from attending.
  These must be significant\, unavoidable events such as serious illness\, 
 bereavement\, attending court\, being a victim of crime\, or other acute p
 ersonal emergencies. Only the most serious situations can be considered.\n
 \nCourse Cost\nThis course is fully funded for partners\, including Health
  (NHS)\, Education and Early Years\, Children’s Services\, and Probation
 .\nOther organisations may need to pay: £65 for a half day and £130 for
