What is the training about?
- This training builds on trauma‑informed practice and focuses on “what’s next” for staff working across the system.
- Based on Judith Herman’s model, it provides practical skills and approaches that can be used as an alternative to, or in preparation for, therapy.
- The aim is to help people better understand how past experiences affect them now, and to build skills, insight and a sense of control.
Who is the training for?
The training is suitable for non‑therapists working with adults.
It’s designed to:
- Build confidence and skills in supporting people who have experienced trauma
- Enhance existing knowledge and practice
- Provide practical tools and resources
- Support staff wellbeing and resilience, particularly in relation to vicarious trauma
