Mental Health Awareness Week
This week is Mental Health Awareness Week, the UK’s national week to raise awareness of mental health and mental health problems and inspire action to promote the message of good mental health for all.
This year, the Mental Health Awareness Week will run from Monday 18 to Sunday 24 May. And the specific theme for this year is ‘kindness’. You can find more details about the event on the Mental Health Foundation website.
During Mental Health Awareness Week, hundreds of events take place around the country to raise awareness for mental health. For example, Devon County Council are asking for your stories of kindness in your community.
And, of course, the week also serves as a reminder of the importance of looking after our own mental health and that of others. So why not take a moment to reach out to someone – let them know how you’re feeling, and ask them how they are too. Because we’re all connected, and you are not alone.
