Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) 2025 Guidance Update
Earlier this month, the Department for Education (DfE) released the latest guidance for Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) 2025.
This ‘Information Only’ version of KCSiE has the fewest changes of any of the annual iterations we have received. But, if you would like to know more about the changes, Safeguarding Network are offering a free KCSiE 2025 webinar to take you through what’s new or different. Click on the dates below to reserve your space.
Devon Education Service (DES) have also provided a summary of the changes to KCSiE 2025, and they will be including an update on changes in their Level 2 and Level 3 refresher training and in their Autumn forums.
DES have also created a KCSiE July 2025 Compliance Checklist for Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) teams, which is designed to help DSLs and school leaders review and update their Child Protection and Safeguarding Policy in line with the July 2025 updates.
Additionally, Safeguarding Network are providing a Keeping Children Safe in Education Knowledge Check, which verifies that staff have read KCSiE 2025 and other relevant school policies. Please see the Safeguarding Network for details about costs and how to book.
