This section of the website will provide you with an introduction to the Devon Safeguarding Children Partnership (Devon SCP) and where to find useful information to support you in your new safeguarding role in Devon.

Throughout this website and across Devon, we use the term practitioner to describe anyone who works with children or young people, whether in a paid or voluntary capacity. As a practitioner, you play a vital part in identifying concerns, promoting children’s wellbeing, and taking timely action when something doesn’t feel right.
