Enjoy the FIFA World Cup safely

The FIFA World Cup is underway, and it’s a time when communities come together to celebrate and enjoy the tournament. Alongside this, though, it’s also important to recognise some of the wider impacts that major sporting events can have, and the role we can all play in helping to keep people safe and supported.

We wanted to share with you some information on various campaigns that Devon County Council are supporting during the football World Cup, including Blow the Whistle – A National Campaign to Challenge Abuse Through Sport – First Light that highlights the increased risks around domestic abuse during sporting events such as the world cup.
