Recognising and Responding to Child Sexual Abuse (Free webinar)
Overview: An estimated 500,000 children under 18 experience child sexual abuse annually in England and Wales. Despite this, only a small fraction come to the attention of statutory services. Research indicates that children often do not disclose abuse while it is happening, but they may exhibit signs and indicators that professionals need to recognize, report, and respond to.
Objectives:
- Understand the scale and nature of child sexual abuse.
- Identify signs and indicators of abuse.
- Gain knowledge, skills, and confidence to recognize and respond to potential abuse.
- Learn to ask children about their experiences appropriately.
