Youth Focused Mental Health First Aid Training – Online Course
AVAILABLE TO EMPLOYEES AND VOLUNTEERS OF VOLUNTARY AND COMMUNITY ORGANISATIONS WHO WORK DIRECTLY WITH YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 8-18 YEARS.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is an internationally recognised training course which teaches people how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis.
MHFA England training won’t teach you to be a therapist, but just like physical first aid, it will teach you to listen, reassure and respond, even in a crisis .
THIS ONLINE COURSE IS SPLIT OVER 4 SESSIONS

The outcomes of the course are:
As a MHFAider®️, you will be able to:
- Explain what mental health is
- Describe how to look after your own mental health and wellbeing
- Describe the signs of possible poor mental health in young people
- Explain some of the risk factors associated with poor mental health in young people
- Demonstrate how to apply the youth MHFA action plan (ALGEE) in a Youth Mental Health First Aid conversation
- Describe the role of a Youth MHFAider
