New Practice Guidance: Missing Children and Care Leavers

This updated guidance sets out how we work together to keep children and care leavers safe when they go missing. It emphasises listening to children’s experiences, understanding why they go missing, and responding quickly and compassionately to reduce harm and support their return to safety.
This guidance is intended for a broad range of professionals and stakeholders involved in identifying, safeguarding, and supporting children and care leavers who go missing.
Please read the full guidance document here.
It is important that all staff familiarise themselves with this guidance and understand their role within it. Please liaise with Links Team Managers or Practice Supervisors if you have any questions, they are also happy to attend team meetings to talk through roles and responsibilities.
