New violence against women and girls strategy published

In December, the government published it’s new strategy on violence against women and girls.
‘Freedom from violence and abuse: a cross-government strategy’ sets out the government’s vision and actions for meeting its ambition to halve violence against women and girls in a decade.
The strategy is built on three objectives:
- Prevention and early intervention to address the root causes of abuse.
- The relentless pursuit of its perpetrators.
- Support for all those affect by violence and abuse when it happens.
