Joint homeless protocol

The Joint Homeless Protocol outlines how Devon Children’s Services and the eight district housing authorities across Devon work together to support 16 and 17 year olds who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

It promotes a consistent, coordinated approach that puts the welfare of young people first, helping to prevent homelessness through early intervention, assessment, mediation and practical support, while ensuring access to suitable accommodation and, where safe and appropriate, supporting young people to remain within or return to their family and support networks.
