HAF programme – Summer 2025

It’s not too late to book your child onto activities this summer through the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme. And with the new online booking system, it’s now easier than ever! 

The HAF programme is a government-funded initiative that provides free activities and a nutritious meal to children and young people who are eligible for benefits-related free school meals. In Devon, around 20,000 children are eligible, and Devon County Council now works with over 100 holiday activity providers across the county to offering a wide range of activities for children and young people of all abilities.

The government has awarded the council £1.9 million to fund the programme in 2025/26, with activities running during the school holidays – four days in spring, 16 days in summer, and four days in winter. And there are still lot of places available for events taking place this summer.
